XAT 2025 - Xavier Admission Test
XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) Admission Test or XAT also known as the Xavier's Admission Test is a national level exam conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur as a first step entrance test for management education. XLRI conducts XAT on behalf of the XAMI.

XAT is the second most popular management entrance examination after CAT. On the basis of XAT result, eligible candidates are short listed and called for Group Discussion, Essay and Personal Interview (GDPI). The XAT score is used by more than 150 institutes for the admission.
Important Dates
XAT is usually conducted in January, the shortlist results are declared in January. The interviews are conducted in February.

Eligibility Criteria
You are required to have acquired a Bachelor's degree under 10+2+3 system from a recognized university or a deemed university. Those completing their final examination may also apply.
NRI and foreign national candidates belonging to countries outside India, except Dubai and Nepal, have to take GMAT in order to apply for XLRI programmes.
Exam Pattern
XAT is a computer-based test which will consist of two parts. Part A consists of MCQ questions from topics such as English Language and Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability, whereas, the second part consists of General Knowledge.
The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
Marking Scheme: Each question carries one mark. 1/4th of the total marks allotted to a question is deducted for each wrong answer. There is negative marking of 0.10 marks for unattempted questions as well, beyond 8.
