Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) announces the final admission result of TISSNET. The final result is declared in the form of merit list and score card of PIT/PI rounds. To check the results, you have to enter login credentials, which are email id, password and captcha.

How to Check TISSNET Result?

  1. Go to the official website
  2. Log in with the email id and the password provided at the time of registration
  3. Enter the Captcha code and click on the 'Login' button.
  4. Now Print or download TISSNET result cum Scorecard.

Details Mentioned on Result

Following are the details that will appear on the result:

  • Candidate's Name
  • Candidate's Roll number
  • Registration number
  • Score or Marks obtained
  • Qualified or Not qualified

The merit list contains list of candidates according to the programme and campuses.

What After TISSNET Result

After the declaration of result, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of cutoff. Based on the scores in TISSNET, candidates will be called for the next round of the selection process Pre-Interview Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (PIT-GD-PI).

Final Merit List

For preparing the final merit list, following parameters will be assigned:

National Common Written Test 40% (100 marks)
Pre-Interview Test (PIT) / GD 30% (50 marks)
Personal Interview (PI) 30% (75 marks)
Total 100% (225 marks)

Candidates who have cleared National Common Written Test (NET) will be called for further selection rounds, which consist of Pre Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI). 

What will be done in case of a Tie 

In case of a tie in result, the following procedures are followed:

  1. Personal Interview (PI) marks will be compared. The candidate with the higher marks will be considered for next steps.

  2. In case of a tie in Personal Interview (PI) marks, Pre Interview Test (PIT) marks of the two candidates will be compared.

  3. In case of equal Pre Interview Test (PIT) marks, TISSNET marks will be considered.

  4. If the TISSNET score of any two candidates are same as well, then the higher age candidate will be given preference.

Preparation of Wait List

  • Candidates getting admission to the programme of their first preference will not be on the wait lists for other preferred programmes.

  • Candidates, who got selected in a programme lower in the order of preferences will be retained in the wait list of a preference higher in the order, till the seats in that programme are filled.

  • Candidates taking admission into any of the programme which is their second preference will be retained in the wait list of the first preference. Candidates getting admission to any programme which is their third preference will be retained in the wait list of their first and second preference.

  • In case, the candidates qualify in 2 programmes at the same time at the time of wait list preparation, the higher preference will prevail. Institute will offer admission only to the higher preference.

  • When candidates who have already taken admission in a programme as per the first merit list is subsequently offered the higher preference when the wait list is activated, they will be moved into the programme of higher preference and will be informed.
