Bharatidasan University, also known as BDU, is located in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. The university was established in 1982. It has affiliated colleges in districts of Karur, Perambalur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai and Tiruchirapalli. The university is named after Bharathidasan, who was a famous, great revolutionary Tamil poet.
