How to Apply for KMAT Kerala

KMAT is a state-level entrance test which is conducted twice for admission in various management programmes that are offered in various b-schools of Kerala.

Documents and information to be kept ready

You must keep the following documents and information ready before filling the application form:

  • Class 10 and 12th mark sheets
  • Active email ID
  • Active mobile phone number
  • Bank details for online payment through:
    • Debit card
    • Credit card
    • Net banking

Step to fill KMAT Kerala Application Form

The application form can be filled in online mode only. The step by step process is:

  1. Registration

  2. Filling Personal & Educational Details

  3. Online Payment

  4. Upload Photograph & Signature

  5. Choose Exam Centres

  6. Preview the Application form

Step 1: KMAT Registration

New candidates have to go to the KMAT official website and then click on Registration (New Candidate) tab. You have to fill all the details to create Login. Choose courses (MBA) while filling the application form, after which you have to fill the details such as:

  • Name of Applicant
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Fee Category
  • Email-Id
  • Registration Fee

After filling the details, click the "Submit" button. Once the registration process is complete, you will receive login credentials. Then, you have to login by using your application number and DOB.

Step 2: Personal & Educational Details

After login, the application form will be displayed on the screen and now you have to fill all details such as personal information, address for correspondence, Reservation Details, Qualifying Degree and son on.

After filling the information, click "Save and Continue". 


  • Make sure that all the mandatory fields (marked as *) are filled before submitting.
  • Mobile numbers should be unique for each applicant. All communications via SMS will be made to the registered mobile number.
  • After filling the application form, verify the personal details, and click on ‘Make Online Payment’ link to do the registration fee paid.

Step 3: Online Payment

Pay the fee according to the category through any of the modes:

  • Debit Card
  • Credit card
  • Net banking
Category Application Fee (INR)
General Category Rs. 1000
Sc/ST Category Rs. 750

On confirmation of the payment status, the candidates may go to the next step by clicking on ‘Go to Next Step’.

Step 4: Upload Photo & Signature

You have to upload the image of signature and photograph as per the specifications.

  • The photograph must be a recent passport size picture. Make sure that it is coloured against light or white background.

  • If there is a red-eye effect, please edit to remove it.

  • If you wear glasses, then make sure that they are not sunglasses. Check to make sure that the photograph has no reflection. Your eyes and face should be clearly visible.

  • Wearing of caps, hats or any dark glasses are not allowed. The religious headgear is allowed but it must not cover the face.

  • Image size should be equal to or less than 40 KB, resolution 150*200 px and in .jpg extension.

  • Candidate has to sign on white paper and scan it.

  • Candidate signature should be equal or less than 40 KB, resolution 150*200 px and in .jpg extension.

  • Candidate signature would appear on the KMAT Kerala admit card.

After uploading a photo and signature, click on the ‘Submit’ button to go the next page.

Step 5: Choose Exam Centre

You have to choose the exam centre according to your preferences. You can choose three preferences of test cities. No changes are allowed after submitting the centre details.

Step 6: Preview

After choosing the exam centres, preview all details before submitting the application form. If all details are correct then tick on the "I accept the terms & conditions and Rule & Regulations" and click the "Submit" button.

If any details or information is incorrect, then edit the information by pressing the tab "Edit" and once you have made the changes, then "submit" the registration form.
