The selection procedure of IIFT starts after the announcement of result. It is a two-step process where candidates are shortlisted based on their IIFT performance. The shortlisted candidates are called for Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
After the exam is conducted and results announced, IIFT releases the cutoff. You have to clear the cutoff to be eligible for the IIFT selection procedure. The selection procedure comprises various rounds which shortlisted candidates have to go through in order to obtain admission into IIFT.
1. Written Test
In the first stage, you are called for a written test as decided by the Institute. This written exam will contain MCQs and will be conducted in the first week of December.
2. Essay Writing
You will be asked to write an essay or answer the comprehension as per your understanding capability. This round is conducted in order to assess the writing ability of the candidate. Post the stage, candidates will then be asked to appear for the GD & PI round.
3. Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI)
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for a GD & PI. This round evaluates the candidates’ verbal communication skills.
