CMAT Result

AICTE announces the CMAT result in the form of merit rank. The result includes candidate's section-wise and overall scores. AICTE also releases the score card of each candidate along with the CMAT result. You can download score card by entering your login credentials.

On the basis of the CMAT result, participating institutes will announce their respective cutoff. You must meet participating institutes' cutoff in order to be selected for the next selection round.

The selection procedure comprises mainly: a Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) or Written Ability Test (WAT). CMAT selection procedure may vary within institutes.

How to Check CMAT Result

  1. Visit the official website.

  2. Fill in your registered email address along with a password.

  3. Click on the “Submit” button once the details are filled.

  4. The result of CMAT will be displayed on the screen.

  5. You can download the score card and keep it safe until you are granted admission.

  • Name of the candidate
  • Rank of the candidate
  • Sectional score of the candidate
  • Total score of the candidate
  • Sectional percentile of candidate
  • Total percentile of candidate

How to Calculate CMAT Result

CMAT is conducted in an online mode only. The marking scheme is as follows:

  • Correct response will be awarded +4
  • Incorrect response will face a penalty of -1
  • No response will receive 0

How CMAT Ranks are Assigned

Candidate's ranks are assigned on the basis of the following factors:

Score of the candidate - In case more than one candidate obtain the same scores, the ranking is done considering the sectional scores in order of:

  1. Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Language Comprehension
  4. General Awareness 

In case more than one candidate obtains the same rank, then the same rank will be allotted to them, however, the names will be displayed in alphabetical order.

How Percentile is Calculated

A simple formula is used to determine the percentile of a candidate.

Percentile = [(N - Your Rank) / N] x 100

where N is the total number of candidates appeared for exam.
