Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi offers two-year MBA programme from 2019 onwards. Its new business school is called the Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ABVSME). It has been set up to impart management training to MBA aspirants. For the academic year 2019-21, the school is offering 50 seats for MBA.
For admission in the MBA programme, the candidates must have the following qualifications:
Candidates must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification must entail a minimum of 3 years of education after completing higher secondary (10+2) or equivalent.
General Category candidates must have obtained a minimum of 60 per cent aggregate marks (of all the years or semesters) or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree is required.
OBC candidates need to have a minimum of 55 per cent marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree is required.
SC / ST / PWD candidates require a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree is required.
Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.

How to Fill JNU MBA Application Form
You should first fill in the online application form on the JNU website.
Submit your CAT Registration Number.
On the basis of CAT scores, JNU will shortlist the candidates for the MBA programme.
Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview. At least three times the number of intake in each category would be shortlisted for interviews.
Application Fees: The following application fees (non-refundable) must be paid for the MBA programme at Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship, JNU, while filling the application form.
- General Category and OBC applicants - Rs. 2000
- SC / ST / PwD applicants - Rs. 1000
The final list of selected candidates is based on CAT scores and the marks obtained in the interview. The weightage for selection in MBA at ABVSME, JNU is as follows:
- CAT scores - 70%
- Marks obtained in the interviews - 30%
The institute admits 50 students on the basis of their CAT score.

For the admission in MBA at JNU, you need to clear the two-stage selection process.
1. CAT Score
You must have appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT). It is essential for the students to submit CAT registration Number and score card at the time of filling the application form of JNU.
