IBSAT selection procedure is a two way process which all participating institutes follow after ICFAI announces the IBSAT result. The selection process includes group discussion and personal interview rounds. The candidates who are shortlisted for these rounds are called for selection briefings. The selection briefings take place in many cities. Once the selection briefings process is finished, the process of group discussion and personal interview starts.
ICFAI Foundation releases the IBSAT result in the form of names of shortlisted candidates instead of percentile or score card. Candidates who meet the cut-off of IBSAT exam have to appear for pre-admission rounds.
Group Discussion (GD)
It is a major part of IBSAT selection process. In the GD round, a group of 8 to 10 candidates are given a topic and they have to put their opinion points on that topic. They are asked to do the discussion on the same for few minutes. Candidate’s interpersonal skills, thinking ability and communication skills are evaluated on the basis of group discussion.
Personal Interview (PI)
It is the last round of IBSAT selection procedure. It showcases the candidate’s communication skills, confidence level and attitude. Confidence is the key to become successful in any interview.
The final selection is based on past academic record and performance of the candidate in group discussion and personal interview.
Before the selection procedure, selection briefing is conducted. These are series of focused seminars to provide information and insights regarding IBSAT selection process and the programmes at IBS. Candidates can also ask questions and solve their doubts with the experts present in the seminars. You can choose the venue as per your convenience.
You have to bring the following documents for verification at the time of IBSAT selection procedure:
- Photocopy of 10th / graduation / 12th mark sheet (Self-attested)
- Photocopy of 12th /10th / graduation passing certificate (Self-attested)
- Personal date selection form (with photo affixed)
