IIM Tiruchirappalli has the weightage to CAT score in the final merit list same as 50 percent. The components of the final selection are CAT score, Personal Interview (PI), Written Ability Test (WAT), Work Experience, Past academic performance, Diversity and Professional qualification.
Stage 1: CAT score for WAT and PI Process
The first stage is the common eligibility criteria for shortlisting candidates for WAT and PI process. This criterion is same for all other participating IIMs for CAP.

The cut-off percentiles given above are indicative. The actual cut-off percentiles may vary. IIM Tiruchirappalli will decide the number of candidates to be called for the PI & WAT for each of the above categories, depending on which the cutoff percentiles can change.
Stage 2: WAT and PI
The shortlisted candidates have to appear for WAT and PI that is conducted at New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata.
Stage 3: Final Merit or Selection List
The final merit list is generated using the following parameters and corresponding weightage to arrive at the composite score of the candidates.
