IIM Shillong, also known as Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management Shillong, is a public and fully autonomous management institute. The institute is the seventh IIM which was established in 2007. The institute provides several management courses including post-graduate, doctoral, executive programs, etc. in management education and Management Development Programs (MDPs).

The candidates who qualify CAT exam, are considered for participation in the admission process. There will be two phases in the admission criteria of IIM Shillong. The institute will release the first list of candidates shortlisted for group discussion and personal interview rounds. It will be based on percentile of CAT. Whereas the second phase of admission criteria at IIM Shillong, a final merit list will be prepared for admission to PGP programs.

The institute will give specific weightage to group discussion and personal interview rounds for preparing the merit list.

Stage 1

The candidates will be shortlisted for next round of group discussion and personal interview. The following table shows the minimum percentile required by the candidates to get included in the shortlist to be prepared for group discussion and personal interview.

Stage 2

In the second stage, the institute will consider the scores of the candidates which they have obtained in group discussion and personal interview rounds along with the overall performance in CAT for preparing the merit list. Then, the cut off scores for group discussion and personal interview will be decided for the merit list.

As per the scores in the merit list, the candidates will be graded ranks in the decreasing order of scores obtained. The institute will offer admission to the candidates in the order of the ranks given in the merit list.
