The admission process for the PGP program comprises of two stages - shortlisting candidates for WAT / GD / /PI round and final Selection of candidates post WAT / GD / PI round. During the first stage, initially a pool of candidates who satisfy the following minimum CAT percentiles are considered.
|Category of Candidate||Sectional Percentile||Overall Percentile|
Among the pool of candidates who meet the above mentioned percentiles, a list of candidates would be called for attending Written ability test (WAT) and Personal Interview depending on their performance in CAT.
For shortlisting candidates for WAT/PI rounds IIM Amritsar is considering only the CAT performance of a candidate.
Candidates who receive a call for interview by any one or more of the IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow (only for their PGP/PGPM programs), will not be required to appear for the personal interview of IIM Amritsar. For these candidates, their personal interview (PI) / Written Ability Test (WAT) scores from the above IIMs will be used to derive their PI/WAT scores for IIM Amritsar as follows:
- If a candidate was shortlisted for PI/WAT by IIM Kozhikode, her/his PI/WAT score of IIM Kozhikode will be used as the PI/WAT score by IIM Amritsar
- For all other candidates, the average of PI/WAT scores of appeared interviews(from IIMs Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Lucknow) will be used as the PI/WAT score by IIM Amritsar
Candidates who don’t receive a call for interview from any of the IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow (only for their PGP/PGPM programs) and registered for IIM Amritsar will be required to appear for a personal interview (PI) / Written Ability Test (WAT) to be conducted by IIM Amritsar.
