AP ICET Counselling

The counselling of AP ICET is conducted on the behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. The counselling is expected to commence in the first week of June after the declaration of exam result and cutoff. Candidates who qualify the AP ICET entrance exam will be shortlisted and called for the counselling round.

To get admission in the MBA institutions of Andhra Pradesh, it is important for the candidates to appear for the counselling of AP ICET. The counselling rounds will strictly be according to candidates ranks or merit list. 

Counselling Process

Following steps are involved in the AP ICET counselling process:

  1. First, all the shortlisted candidates have to report the help centres for document verification.

  2. Based on the preferences entered by candidates and availability of seats and merit, suitable seats will be allotted to admit students.

  3. Candidates allotted seats will have to pay the requisite fee and report to the college allotted to them.

Eligibility Criteria

The counselling requires the following eligibility criteria to be met before candidates are called for the seat allotment procedure:

  • Candidates securing 50 percent aggregate (in case of OC category) are eligible for counselling stage.
  • Those belonging to SC and ST categories have to score at least 45 percent aggregate in degree and AP ICET to qualify for the counselling.

Documents Required 

Candidates appearing for the counselling rounds have to carry two sets of photocopies along with the originals of the following listed documents for verification purposes:

  • AP ICET Hall Ticket

  • AP ICET Rank Card

  • Degree Marks Sheet/ Consolidated marks Sheet

  • Degree Provisional Certificate

  • Intermediate Marks Sheet/ Diploma Marks Sheet

  • SSC or its equivalent Marks sheet

  • 9th to Degree Study Certificates or Residence Certificate (in case where the candidate has no institutionalised education) or Residence Certificate of either of the parent in Andhra Pradesh (AP) for 10 years excluding the period of employment outside Andhra Pradesh (AP) from the competent authority in respect of Non-Local Candidates

  • Income Certificate issued

  • Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority

  • Aadhar Card (Xerox will be returned after verification)

Processing Fee

Rs.1200 for OC/BC and Rs.600 for SC/ST to be paid by the candidate online visiting official AP ICET website before attending certificates verification.

Processing fee can be paid by the candidate using credit card/ debit card/ through net banking. Visit the official website of AP ICET and click on processing fee payment online. Enter AP ICET Hall Ticket number & rank and click on pay fee online. Candidates will be directed to payment gateway. Select any one mode of payment i.e. credit card/ debit card/ net banking and enter credentials.

Once the payment is success, click on 'print' button. Take a print out and produce at the time of certificate verification.

Once the fee payment procedure has been completed, candidates are required to report to the allotted college on the date mentioned in the allotment order, failing which they will lose any claim on the seat allotted to them.

Important Instructions For Seat Allotment Procedure

Process of participating in the subsequent phases of AP ICET Counselling

  • If candidates have not participated in previous phases of counselling, then they can participate as a fresh candidate by attending certificate/document verification at one of the help centres.

  • If no seat is allotted in the previous phase of AP ICET counselling, candidates can participate in the next phase.

  • If a seat is allotted and candidates have not accepted the joining then the allotted seat will be cancelled and will be treated as a vacancy to be filled later. Candidates can participate in the counselling but are eligible to join new college allotted in the second phase and cannot claim for the previous allotment.

  • If a candidate has paid the fee, accepted the joining and reported at the allotted college, they can still participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling. If a seat is allotted as per new option, then the first allotment will be cancelled and candidates will be moved to the new allotted college.

Process of Cancellation of Seat

If candidates want to withdraw or cancel the allotted seat, at the end of the Counselling process, they can do so before a stipulated date. For this, candidates have to approach the Convener in person or by registered post and have to submit the following documents:

  • Duly filled in application for cancellation of allotted seat

  • Original receipt of certificates issued at the time of certificate verification at helpline centre

  • Latest provisional allotment order

  • Receipt of fee payment

  • Request letter for cancellation of allotted seat by the candidate.
