XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) Admission Test or XAT also known as the Xavier's Admission Test is a National level exam conducted by XLRI as a first step entrance test for management education. On the basis of XAT result, eligible candidates are short listed and called for Group Discussion, Essay and Personal Interview (GDPI). There are more than 120 Management Institutes that select students based on XAT.

You are required to have acquired a Bachelor's degree under 10+2+3 system from a recognized university or a deemed university. Those completing their final examination may also apply.
XAT Pattern is changed from 2014. The XAT exam will have two parts. The first part has multiple-choice questions on four sections -
- Verbal & Logical Ability
- Decision Making
- Data Interpretation & Quantitative Ability
- General Knowledge
The marks of General Knowledge section are not be used for determining the percentile and cut-off at first stage of selection. The duration of first part is 2 hours & 40 minutes. Each question has five choices. The second part contains essay writing with time limit of 20 minutes. Total duration of XAT is 3 hours.
